The SIOP (Sheltered Instruction Observation Protocol) Foundations professional development offers educators a research-based framework to effectively teach content to English learners. Through this training, participants gain practical strategies for lesson planning, interaction, and assessment that support both language development and academic achievement. The program emphasizes eight key components, including building background knowledge, comprehensible input, and language objectives, to create an inclusive, linguistically supportive classroom environment.
